inzwischen habe ich die Antwort der Fährgesellschaft bekommen:
"Our company will not take any liability at any time.
Therefore, I highly suggest that you inquire for a comprehensive type of travel insurance from your country of origin that will cover for any damages to a vehicle you’re going to hire from another country."
Blöd nur, dass die deutsche KFZ-HV nur Mietwagen in Europa abdeckt.....

Vielen Dank für Eure Antworten. Hier ein Auszug aus den terms and conditions von Sealink:
"The Company accepts no responsibility for loss of, or damage to, any vehicle being carried for the passenger, or luggage, or for consequential damages arising there-from whether sustained during off-loading or transportation, and whether arising from negligence, malfunction of the vessel or other cause, except to the extent that the exclusion of such liability is prohibited by law."

Hallo,
wir werden dieses Jahr Kangaroo Island besuchen. Geplant sind 4 Übernachtungen. Jetzt sind wir grad am Überlegen wg. dem Mietwagen. Der Vermieter erlaubt die Mitnahme auf der Fähre nach Kangaroo Island, weist aber darauf hin, dass auf der Fähre kein Versicherungsschutz besteht.....
Jetzt bestehen folgende Möglichkeiten:
Mietwagen (kein Allrad) in Cape Jervis stehen lassen (d.h. ohne Auto auf Fähre) und auf Kangaroo Island Allrad Fahrzeug anmieten oder Mietwagen auf Fähre mitnehmen (trotz fehlendem Versicherungsschutz und kein Allrad auf KI anmieten)?
