The EU bail-out package
It is a rainy day in Rhodos.
The streets are deserted.
Times are tough and everyone owes money.
On this day, a wealthy German travels through Rhodos and stops in front of a small hotel. He tells the owner of the hotel that he might want to book a room for the night, but would like to have a look first. He puts a 100 Euro note on the reception, as a deposit.
1 The owner gives him the key for the rooms
2 After the visitor has walked up the stairs, the hotel owner scrambles next door to the butcher to pay up his debt with the 100 Euro note
3 The butcher rushes down the street to pay the farmer
4 The famer hurries into the pub to pay his bills there
5 The bartender shuffles the 100 Euro note towards a prostitute sitting at the bar, who is also having a hard time and who had done a couple of free of charge favours to the bartender in the past
6 The prostitute runs to the hotel to pay up the room bills
7 The hotelier puts the note back onto the reception desk
At that moment, the traveller comes back down the stairs saying that he does not like any of the rooms, then takes the money and departs.
Nobody produced anything
Nobody earned any money
All involved have paid their debt and are optimistic about the future. Das EU - Rettungspaket
So, nun wisst Ihr Bescheid - so einfach funktioniert das EU -
