    • Can someone recommend me a serious migration agent?

      Hello all,

here I am again with a new topic. As I am considering to apply for a permanent residence visa for Australia I am looking for a serious migration agent in Internet. There are many registered on MARN without sanctions. Can you recommend me one or two or more from your own experience?. I would appreciate any recommendation.

      Hi,

If you prefer an English speaking MARN, try George Lombard in SYD. I've also seen quite a few recommendations for AVIN, also based in SYD, who would be German. We used Luise Maier in Cooroy and were also happy with her.
Before signing any contract or paying money make sure you've picked a registered agent (MARN). There's also a lot of cheap wannabe-agents out there and if you dig a little deeper you'll find a lot of horror-stories.

      Cheers
      Uli

    • Hi mongobär, thanks for the quick answer.
I was looking at the internet site of Migration Bureau. They are registered at MARN without sanctions. They will call me today for free to see which are my possibilities. I don't know what will happen further on. They charge you 185 € for a full assessment. Unfortunately I couldn't find negative reviews about them.

I will check the ones you recommended me.
In May I will be 40, I only have 45 points according to the points system for the permanent residence. I need an 8 for the IELTS. Really worried about my chances, cause I really want to migrate to Australia.

At the moment I am in Germany again.
    • 185€ sound quite much. I know that AVIN charges 50AUD for a full assessment and that the basic assessment is free of charge.
I haven't heard anything about the Migration Bureau so I cannot tell you if they are reliable or not. Let's wait for some more responses.
Also please note that you have 28 days to submit all documents to the DIAC after applying for the visa. This might give 28 extra days for your IELTS but if it doesn't work out, you might lose a lot of money.

    • Sounds like a plan :D

    • Yes, Sir. If you contact her, tell her that I gave you her contact details.

    • Oops, sorry. Then:

Yes, Ma'am. If you contact her, tell her that I gave you her contact details. :D

    • Hi Henning,

kiek mal in Beitrag Nr. 2 :D

    • Hi all and thanks for your answer. I filled a visa assessment form at AVIN and paid the 50 €.

      489 visa granted Dec 2014
887 visa (PR) granted July 2015

    • So, this is my current status: I will have a phone call by the AVIN migration agency on this Thursday. According to AVIN I have visa chances for Australia and they will then call me. According to the migration agent Owen Small from Brisbane I don't have any chances. He wrote me back:

From the details below I do not have enough information to provide a full assessment of your points. Needless to say you will require a degree, 8 yrs experience and IELTS 7 or above in all 4 bands, when you turn 40 will require IELTS 8.
You will also require a skills assessment with the Australian Computer Society which can take about 3 months for them to process and is likely to take you a few weeks to prepare. Lodging an application before the end of April to DIAC would be unlikely.
For our assistance with an application our fee would be $3,500 which doesn’t include any official fees, such as DIAC, medicals, police checks, IELTS and translations.
From the details provided below I do not think you would meet the points pass mark for general skilled migration.

To be eligible for migration to Australia you will require an Australian employer willing to sponsor and employ you under a employer sponsored visa.

Once you secure a job offer we can then provide further assistance to you and the employer for your visas

I am considering then to apply for New Zealand. It seems so, that I am eligible for the permanent residence, I only wanna be sure that it is so. Can any of you recommend me a trustful migration agent for New Zealand?. Would appreciate any answers.
