Ja, dass kann ich gut nachfuehlen. Mein Name ist Evi (getauft auf Eva aber das hat mein Vater nur gesagt wenn er boese mit mir war) also Evi das hat man in Effi gewandelt. Damit konnte ich ueberhaupt nicht klarkommen - grausig, also hab ich mich mit Eva vorgestellt. Daraus wurde dann Ewa gemacht. Na gut, das ging ja.Ein paar Jahre spaeter hoerte ich wie jemand am Telefon Ewi sagte, na so bin ich also zurueck auf Evi - in australisch wohl Evie geschrieben.
Es ist wirklich schon grausam was die aus Namen fabrizieren!

logischerweise auch. Am einfachsten klappt "it's Michael plus a"Und Post wird meist an "Mr. Michael A. XXX" adressiert

ja was meinst du was abging, als ich Daph fragte, ob sie eine Eva oder Evi kennt! Neeee, sagte sie, kenn ich nicht. Aber sie wandert doch ..... Daph daraufhin: dann frag sie in welcher Gruppe. Ich: geht nicht, sie ist in England. Aaaaahh, you mean Evie ... yeah, of course I know Evie ....
Und gestern schrieb ein Mädel bei Gloria Jean den Namen Uwe auf die Karte: Ooover (weil sie meinte, dann wird der Name richtig ausgesprochen 
)

im writing this in english,because i wanna practice how to write
things like that,and learn how to understand them too.
im reading my strine books every evening,and i still got problems.
one point is,i dunno how to say some words.
but i reckon there must be some kinda rule for it.
for example:say ME instead of MY or ey instead of a.
i know a book can`t compare with real life,and i wanna judge nobody,
i just want to learn strine right.
and its not so much fun,to chat with somebody,if ya have to look in these books or the the dictionary every 5 minutes.

with whom da ya wanna talk strine ?? know sayin me instead o' my isnt usual but didnt know it s a special language...reckon it s often spoken by people of the hinterland (???).
is missin some words out of the sentence part of this strine ??
