Kürzungen der Migranten!

Momentan sieht es so aus, dass Australien nicht so schlimm von der Krise betroffen ist. Derzeit weiß aber noch niemand wohin die Reise geht.
Die Frage ist, welche Kontingente werden davon betroffen sein. Zudem wurden gerade erst die Kontingente erhöht...zu dem Zeitpunkt sprach aber noch niemand von einer Rezession.

Ich kann nur empfehlen möglichst bald die Unterlagen einzureichen. Besser wird es mit Sicherheit nicht werden.

Australia: Call for increase in skilled workers

Western Australia’s Chamber of Commerce has asked the Federal Government to move ahead with its planned increase in the number of skilled migrant workers.

With speculation the credit crisis will hit the UK hard and record numbers emigrating to Australia the effects of the crisis on Western Australia are likely to be short-term in nature with the medium-term outlook for the State remaining positive.

On Sunday, Australia’s immigration minister, Chris Evans, announced the country’s immigration levels will likely change to reflect the global economic crisis.

Speaking from a conference of industry leaders in Perth, Western Australia, the minister recognised the different needs of states throughout the vast country.

"I think it is true to say that we have a number of different economies inside Australia," he said, adding immigration would be investigated on a state by state basis.

Chamber of Commerce and Industry chief, James Pearson, responded after a meeting with the Senator Evans yesterday, “WA business wants to see a strong migration program maintained and that includes temporary migration to meet the temporary needs of particular businesses,” he said.

“The CCI sticks by its forecast that we need about 400, 000 workers in this State over the next decade and on current population projections we’ll fall about 150, 000 short. Migration is an important element in meeting that demand,” he said.

The Government announced in May it would lift immigration numbers to a record 190,000 in 2008-09, of which an all-time high of 133,000 would come through the skilled migration scheme.

Last week over 10,000 people from London and Leeds attended the Opportunities Australia Expo aimed at attracting skilled workers emigrating to Australia.

weiss jemand wann die modl wirklich geändert wird. in der quellenangabe steht etwas von november. meint ihr, dass es so schnell geht? möchte nämlich im januar/februar meinen antrag abschicken als accountant (175) und bekomme langsam angst, dass sich bis dahin einiges ändert.
