ansonsten mal Tante Google fragen wer denn aller jobs in australien annonciert.

aber auch wird rund um geralton sich einiges tun weil da wird ein neuer hafen und eine eisenbahn gebaut.

es von den Regeln des jeweilgen state/territory ab, ob Du als Professional Engineer ohne weitere Zulassung bzw. Anerkennung tätig werden darfst. In QLD ist das Bedingung, in WA z.B. nicht. Für Mechanical Engineers ist dafür IEAust zuständig. Ich hatte dazu mal per email angefragt und folgende Antwort erhalten:

"Registration as a professional engineer in Queensland is a two part process. Applicants must first have their qualifications and competencies assessed as satisfactory by an approved assessment entity. They may then apply to the Board of Professional Engineers Queensland, with that satisfactory assessment. Engineers Australia (EA) has been appointed as an assessment entity to assess the qualifications and competencies of professional engineers wishing to become registered as professional engineers in Queensland in certain areas of practice. Each assessment entity is only able to assess applications in the areas of practice for which they have been approved. The areas of practice for which Engineers Australia have been approved are listed on page 5 of the EA Approved Assessment Scheme document and descriptions of the professional engineering services applicable to those areas of practice are given on pages 19 to 22 of the document. Broad information about the new co-regulatory approach to registration in Queensland, a copy of the Engineers Australia approved Assessment Scheme document, and the Engineer’s Australia application form for assessment of qualifications and competencies in the areas of practice for which it is approved, is available from http://www.nerb.org.au >go to the RPEQ button on the righthand side. If you wish to have your qualifications and competencies assessed you should complete the form in full, attaching all relevant information, including evidence relating to your Migration Skills Assessment, a verified Engineering Practice Report and record of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) undertaken over the last three years, details of which are provided with the application form. The completed form should be submitted it to Engineers Australia Queensland Division, at the address shown on the form."

Nachdem ich diese Antwort erhielt, habe ich das Thema erstmal zurückgestellt bis wir tatsächlich angekommen sind und feststeht, in welchem Bereich wir arbeiten werden. Scheint auf jeden Fall nochmal ein relativ aufwendiger Prozess zu sein.

Engineers werden (Z.Zt.) here in Aussie immer noch gesucht. Der tip mit http://www.seek.com.au ist gut. Ansonsten http://www.google.com.au Stichwort jobseeker, jobs, engineer jobs, mechanical engineer, etc.

Wie ueberall ist die erste Huerde in den Markt rein zu kommen. Wenn du von overseas kommst wirst du potentielle Arbeitgeber davon ueberzeugen muessen, dass sie dich einstellen auch ohne (AUS) Berufserfahrung.

Ich arbeite seit 2 Jahren in AUS (davor 4 in NZ) und es hat mich noch nie jemand nach registrierung oder annerkennung gefragt. Mag ein Sonderfall sein und mit dem Bedarf zusammenhaengen. Meine Registrierung mit Engineers Australia ist in Arbeit (man weiss ja nie).

Wie ist es denn mit English??
Welche Branche?
In welche Gegend zieht es dich/euch? Jobs im Outback sind nicht jedermanns Sache.

Ansonsten haengt es davon ab was du machen willst als Ing. Design, construction, operation??

Die grossen consultanties suchen immer Graduates (= Jungingeneure) - google mal unter GHD, MWH, PB, Conwag, Bassett, Maunsell, URS ...
