Visa granted!!!

Unser 175er Visum wurde heute nach genau 11 Monaten gegranted!!!
Wir sind noch völlig im Schock! Es kann endlich richtig losgehen.

Wir haben uns ja zwischenzeitlich noch für ein 676 Tourivisum beworben und auch letzte Woche bekommen. Heute wollten wir damit unseren Flug buchen!
Jetzt brauchen wir das nicht mehr - wir können jetzt bei IOM einen Flug mit jeweils 40kg Freigepäck buchen und auch mit dem "richtigen" Visum einreisen.

Hier unsere Timeline:
Application 175 (MODL/CSL): 20.9.2008
CO: 5.5.2009
Meds finalised: 23.5.2009
Visa granted: 20.8.2009
Initial entry date no later than 7.5.2010

In der ganzen Aufregung sind wir uns jetzt nicht sicher, ob wir ein Visalabel in unsere Passports benötigen. Im grant letter heisst es:

The visa holder can have evidence of the visa placed into their passport at any of the department’s offshore offices with visa evidencing facilities.
Please note that an e-mailed copy of this letter is sufficient for visa evidencing purposes.

Heisst das jetzt wir benötigen ein Visalabel oder nicht? Kann uns das jemand beantworten der nicht ganz so durch den Wind ist wie wir?

Ja es sieht so aus das man jetzt kein label mehr benötigt. In meinem Grand Latter (für ein 457) den ich erst am Dienstag erhalten habe steht auch das man keines braucht. Dann habe ich dieses FACT SHEET gefunden.

IF THE APPROVED VISA HOLDER IS IN AUSTRALIA:
You will not require a visa label if you hold a passport from an eligible country. To check if your passport country is eligible go to http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/skille…isa-labels.htm. Your visa and passport details are electronically recorded. When you check in to fly to Australia, the airline staff will electronically confirm that you have authority to travel to Australia. You are not required to present this letter in order to travel to, enter and remain in Australia. However, you may wish to keep this letter with you for your reference.

You can electronically check your visa details by accessing the department's service called Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO). You will be able to access the service on the department's website by visiting http://www.immi.gov.au/e_visa/vevo.htm. If you have already registered to use VEVO you can use the password supplied to you. Alternatively you can use your Transaction Reference Number.

If your passport country is not listed on the above mentioned website, as soon as possible +++++++++++++(or their authorised representative/legal guardian), should approach an office of the department in Australia to have the visa label placed in their passport.

Haben soeben einen Flug mit IOM am 9. September von Frankfurt nach Brisbane gebucht!!! Die Dame bei IOM schien uns recht kompetent.
Der Flug kostet uns nun (one-way):
Erwachsener: 705,00 EUR pro Person
Kind: 505,00 EUR
Baby: 180,00 EUR
und ist somit knapp 400Euro billiger als das was wir im Reisebüro angeboten bekamen. Ausserdem können wir 40kg Freigepäck pro Person bzw. 10kg pro Baby mitnehmen. Ausserdem kann ein Kinderwagen kostenfrei mitgenommen werden. Somit kommen wir auf 130kg Freigepäck + Handgepäck (jeweils 7kg/Person ab 2 Jahren, Babys dürfen für den Flug notwendige Windeln, Nahrung kostenfrei mitnehmen).

Unsere Mietwohnung werden wir Ende diesen Monats räumen. Die restlichen Tage verbringen wir dann bei Muttern.
Und morgen machen wir eine riesen Abschiedsfete (50 Leute + ca. 20 Kinder haben schon zugesagt!). Wo wir die allerdings alle in der 3 Zimmer Wohnung unterbringen wollen, wissen wir noch nicht!
