Just wanted to tell you that this thread "English Only" is a great idea. 
I like speaking English and so you can practice your English here. I studied some Australian English at school, but it was just an hour. I mostly speak British English than American English.

I live in Germany n married to a German. I do understand german but written German is next to nothing!
We are moving to Australia in 5 months and have loads of questions which i can ask only in english.
Plus when in Australia would like to make German freinds too and guess this is a great site to get in touch with Germans in Australia too :o) I really like German humour n Germans :o) -

In know exactly what you are talking about: Grew up from German parents, so a"native speaker", but the rest of the environment was English, so my English is basically better than my German.

I wouldn't really tell it, because I'm better at German reading than English reading, but better at English speaking than German speaking.
