Child visa 101

Hello!

Has anyone applied for child visa 101...if yes how much time did it take?

We are PR of Australia and have booked everything for April to leave but just talked to Berlin embassy they said this visa will take 3-10 mths!!! Baby is just 3 weeks old! Apartment n job notice has been given...We are in deep S**T......any advice will be greatful!

There's an onshore version of the the child visa, namely subclass 802. http://www.immi.gov.au/migrants/family/child/802/

This can be applied for from within Australia.

Danke Hannes...I wanted to tae this option but according to the Australian embassy we can not take this option as baby will be migrating and we cant take a tourist visa for him. So aparently baby cant enter Australia without a migrant 101 visa. We are really in a fix now! :o(

But Thanks anyway.

If I were you I would

-apply for an evisitor visa for son on the DIAC homepage
-travel to AU
-apply for the 802 visa for him there

If you manage to obtain the evistor Visa there should not be any problem.
