und sollten von allen Reisenden zur Kenntnis genommen werden, die in den naechsten Tagen eine Tour im Bereich der West Macdonnells planen:

Palm Valley access is closed and will be for at least 2 days and also Ormiston Gorge is closed. This is due to the Finke River rising considerably.
Parks and Wildlife will let us know during the day about Ellery Creek.

Zitat

The Finke River is about 400m wide at the crossing at Hermannsburg, and the Ellery is also up and any vehicles aren’t able to get through at this point in time.

Owen Springs is impassable until further notice
Birthday Waterhole closed until further notice
Hugh Gorge closed until further notice

Namatjira Drive is closed due to water over the road at the Hugh Crossing.

Palm Valley remains closed due to high rainfall continuing which also means that Boggy Hole will remain impassable along with the Finke River 4x4 Track.

Simpson’s Gap is fine.

Und nochmals ein deutlicher Hinweis, was Road Closures im Northern Territory angeht:

The Department of Construction and Infrastructure advises that fines apply for anyone caught driving on roads which are officially closed.

Letztens ist im NT eine Aenderung des Control of Roads Act durchgegangen, der den Behoerden ab Mitte dieses Jahres erlauben wird, Bussgelder von bis zu $13,300.00 zu erheben.
