    • Ford Econovan 1999 dual fuel LPG - Rego 01/11

      Hi Guys,

      This is the end of our trip around Australia, so it’s time for us to sell our van. If you are looking for a practical and reliable van with good resale value, our van has many assets (LPG, mileage less than 235,000 km, air conditioning…). You will make beautiful savings at the pump with the LPG. It can handle long-distance journeys with no problem at all, even travelling through the outback in the middle of summer is possible, thanks to the air conditioning ;-). Completely equipped and fitted out by our care you will find all the necessities to make a road trip in comfort.

      General information

      Make & Model: Ford Econovan

      Year: 1999

      Registration: until 12 January 2011 – New South Wales

      Roadside assistance: NRMA until February 2011

      Mileage: 232,000 km

      Dual fuel: LPG (up to 2 times cheaper than unleaded) and unleaded (Saving space because you will not need a spare jerry can, the van can travel for more than 800 km on full tanks)

      Consumption: 11L / 100 km

      Gearbox: 5 speed manual

      Colour: white (more discreet to sleep in town)

      Other: Air conditioned, lateral window and back windows tinted (for more intimacy)

      We serviced the van regularly. The oil changes were made by mechanics every 5000kms with the oil filter changed every 10,000 km. The air filter was regularly cleaned.

      The previous owner made the following repairs before we bought: replaced the radiator, water pump and the alternator (08/2009) and installed the LPG system (2007).

      We also made some repairs on the van, including:

      * Maintenance of the air-conditioning and the cooling system
      * Changed front-brake pads
      * New spare tyre
      * Ignition repair
      * Repair of the air motor
      * Replaced some hoses
      * Cleaned the slave cylinders
      * Replaced the fuel pump
      * Changed the alt-belts

      The van seats 3 up front, and is equipped with:

      * Bull bar and rear bar (indispensable in case of collision with an animal.)
      * Roof racks (great for surfboards or to carry more gear)
      * Safety grill between the front and the back of the van (removeable, but we like it because it allows an additional storage space behind seats.)
      * 300W transformer with two power plugs incorporated into the van (we were able to connect 1 computer, 2 mobile phones and 1 camera battery charger at the same time).
      * 3 lamps: 2 lamps Ikea and 1 lamp incorporated into the van
      * CAMPS 4 road atlas including all the free rest areas (indispensable for a backpacker) (upload available) + two guides of the free or low cost campsites (very practical to sleep in the national parks)
      * Maps NRMA of all the states of Australia and big cities + more precise diverse maps

      FEATURES:
